Red Raven Men's Basketball Place Carroll & Summers on KJCCC All-Conference Teams, Summers Named KJCCC Freshman of the Year

The Coffeyville Community College Red Raven Men's Basketball Team had two athletes earn Kansas Jayhawk Community College All-Conference selections for the 2024 season.  Sophomore Cris Carroll earned a 1st-Team All-KJCCC selection while freshman Jahni Summers earned an All-KJCCC second-team nod while also being named the KJCCC Men's Division I Freshman of the Year.

#15 Cris Carroll (Tallahassee FL) - 1st Team All-KJCCC

On the season, Carroll averaged 18.8 points (5th best in the KJCCC) while pulling down 7.7 rebounds per game.  Overall, Carroll shot 41.9% from the field and 35.8% from behind the 3-point line.  In a win at Dodge City on Feb. 24, Carroll double/doubled with 33 points and 18 rebounds.  Carroll finished off the season double-doubling in five of his last seven games.

 

#4 Jahni Summers - 2nd Team All-KJCCC, KJCCC Freshman of the Year

On the season, Summers was the seventh-leading scorer in the KJCCC at 18.2 points per game. Summers averaged 4.5 rebounds and shot 45.0 percent overall, 37.1 percent on 78 made 3-pointers, and 76.7 percent from the floor.  Summers scored in double figures in 28 of 31 games played. He had five-straight 20-point games early in January, scoring a season-high 28 points against Dodge City on January 10. He followed that game with 26 points against Hutchinson and 24 points against Colby.
