Coffeyville, Kan. - The Coffeyville Community College Women's Basketball Team brought the hammer Tuesday night as they demolished the Greyhounds of Fort Scott 69-22. With the victory, the Red Ravens' early season record moved to 3-0.
The Ravens jumped out early and often against the Greyhounds. After the first quarter, Coffeyville led 21-4 and never looked back. The Ravens' defense was stifling all night long, holding Fort Scott to single-digit scoring in all four quarters.
Red Raven head coach Coach Turner was allowed to engage his entire roster with some early season minutes as every Coffeyville team member logged at least five minutes in the game.
Top performers on the night for Coffeyville included sophomore Norika Welch with 13 points and 7 rebounds, freshman Aspen Clarkson with 12 points, and sophomore Karys Washington with 10 points and 6 rebounds.
Coffeyville will return to action on Monday, November 11th with a home tilt scheduled against the JV of Haskell Indian Nations University. Tipoff in Nellis Gymnasium is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
