Goodland, Kan. - The Coffeyville Community College Red Raven Women's Basketball team opened up their 2024-25 Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference (KJCCC) schedule with a 73-37 road victory over Tigers of Fort Hays Tech Northwest. With the victory, the Red Ravens' overall record moves to a perfect 6-0 on the season including a 1-0 record in KJCCC matchups.
Coffeyville jumped out quickly on the Tigers opening the game on a 21-3 run. The Ravens ended the first quarter leading Fort Hays Tech 32-8. Head Coffeyville coach Tony Turner got minutes for his entire team as each player on the Red Raven roster got at least 8-10 minutes of play.
Top performers for Coffeyville included sophomore Karys Washington with 16 points, freshman Aubrey Hishaw with 15 points and 7 rebounds, and freshman Karliey Parker with 13 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 assists.
Coffeyville will stay in western Kansas as they are scheduled to play the Trojans of Colby Community College on Saturday, November 22nd. Tipoff in Collby is set for 2:00 p.m.
