Red Raven Men Start Region VI/KJCCC Playoffs with 91-68 Defeat of Colby

Coffeyville, Kan. - The #4 seeded Coffeyville Community College Red Raven Men's Basketball Team started the Region VI/KJCCC playoffs off right with a 91-68 defeat of the #13 seeded Colby Trojans.  The victory marks the 21st of the year for Coffeyville who currently now sports a 21-2 record.

Coffeyville came to play, quickly outgunning the Trojans of Colby in building a 48-29 halftime lead.  The Red Ravens were never really tested in this one and cruised to the 91-68 victory.  Coffeyville led Colby in all the major game statistical categories including shooting (54%-48%), rebounds (31-25), and turnovers (11-19).

Four Red Ravens posted in double figures including sophomore guard Tylor Perry with 20 points (on 6/9 shooting, including 3/6 from behind the three-point line), sophomore guard Kevaughn Ellis with 16 points (also on 6/9 shooting and 3/6 from three), and sophomore Bostyn Holt and freshman Love Bettis both with 14 points.

The #4 seeded Coffeyville will host the #5 seeded Dodge City in the second-round matchup on Wednesday, April 7th.  Game time is tentatively set for 7:00 p.m.
