#4 Raven Men's Basketball Suffer Second Loss of Year, Lose on the Road at #18 Cowley 86-77

Arkansas City, Kan. - The #4 Coffeyville Community College Red Raven Men's Basketball team suffered their second loss of the season in a 86-77 road defeat at the hands of the #18 Cowley College Tigers.  The loss drops the Ravens overall record to 18-2 including a 16-2 mark in Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference (KJCCC) games.  The 16-2 conference mark has Coffeyville in first place in the KJCCC East standings.

The Red Ravens just could not seem to get going in this one.  The majority of the game saw Coffeyville playing from a 3-6 point deficit and the Ravens could not seem to gain or hold any sort of lead.

Coffeyville uncharacteristically had 20 turnovers in the game compared to Cowley's 14.  The Ravens were also outrebounded by Cowley by seven, 48-41.  The free-throw line also hurt the Ravens with Coffeyville only hitting 54% from the free-throw line, 15% below their season average of 69%.

Raven sophomore Tylor Perry continued his torrid shooting on the season going for 24 points in this one while shooting 7/9 overall and 4/6 from behind the three-point line.  Sophomore Bostyn Holt and freshman Markeith Browning both pitched in 10 points apiece.

Next up for the Red Ravens, Coffeyville will look to avenge their first loss of the season as the Independence Pirates come to town on Monday, March 29th.  Tipoff in Nellis West is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
