Tylor Perry's 25 Points Fuels #3 Coffeyville Over #22 Dodge City 65-58

The #3 NJCAA ranked Coffeyville Community College Red Raven Men's Basketball Team traveled to Dodge City and defeated the #22 ranked Dodge City Conquistadors 65-58.  With the win, Coffeyville remains undefeated with an overall record of 10-0 including an 8-0 record in Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference (KJCCC) contests. 

This victory marks the second road victory over a nationally ranked opponent this year for the Ravens.  The first was on January 27th with a trip to Hutchinson Kansas where Coffeyville defeated the #14 ranked Blue Dragons 88-68. 

Against Dodge City, the Ravens found themselves trailing 47-53 to the Conquistadors at the 6:03 mark of the second half, it was at the spot in the game that Raven sophomore guard Tylor Perry came alive with the hot hand scoring 15 of his game-high 25 points over the last 6:01 of the game.  Over the last 6:01 of the game, Perry connected for 3-3's and 3-2's to push Coffeyville over the top for the 65-58 victory.

Both Coffeyville and Dodge City shot 37% overall for the game. Dodge City won the rebound battle 45-36 but Coffeyville won the turnover battle 10-20 which enabled the Ravens to win the points off of turnovers with a 14-7 advantage.

Perry's game-high 25 points (10/18 shooting overall and 5/12 from 3) was in addition to Raven sophomore guard Bostyn Holt who pitched in 12 points (5/7 shooting and 1/1 from 3) to round out the double digit scorers for Coffeyville.  Coffeyville freshman big man Blaise Keita also contributed 8 points and a team-high 12 rebounds.

The Ravens will return to action this coming Monday, February 22nd with a road game scheduled at Chanute Kansas against Neosho County.  No women's game scheduled so tip-off for this game is set for an early 5:30 p.m.
