Reigning KJCCC East Player of the Year/NJCAA All-American Meikkel Murray Signs with Central Michigan University

Red Raven Men's Basketball sophomore All-American Meikkel Murray has announced that he has signed a National Letter of Intent to play at Central Michigan University, an NCAA Div I school in Mount Pleasant Michigan.

Along with being a 2020 Second Team NJCAA All-American, Murray is the reigning Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference East Division Player of the Year.

Murray has had a stellar career with the Red Ravens earning 2019 KJCCC Freshman of the Year, 2020 KJCCC Player of the Year, and 2020 Region VI Tournament Most Outstanding Player.

In logging the fifth-highest minute total (1091 mins) in the NJCAA this year, Murray averaged 16.7 points and 7.4 rebounds per game for the Red Ravens in the 19-20 season.   Murray's top play of the season was a score as time ran out that led the Red Ravens over Butler in the 2020 Region VI Championship game, earning the Red Ravens a #15 seed into the 2020 NJCAA Men's Div I Basketball Tournament.

The Ravens were slated to play the #18 seeded South Plains College Texans until the National Tournament was canceled.
