#2 Red Raven Men Take Down #20 Butler Grizzlies 76-66

El Dorado, Kan. - In the game after their first loss of the season, the #2 NJCAA ranked Coffeyville Community College Men's Basketball Team traveled to El Dorado Kansas, and got back on track, defeating the #20 Butler Grizzlies 76-66.  Butler marked the fourth-ranked opponent the Red Ravens have defeated this year.  In the win, the Ravens improved their overall record to 14-1 including a 12-1 KJCCC conference mark.  The 12-1 conference mark has Coffeyville in first place in the KJCCC East division.

Turnovers and bench points were the deciding factors in this game.  Coffeyville won the turnover battle 13-20 against the Grizzlies.  That turnover margin allowed the Ravens to earn a 24-15 advantage in "points-off-turnovers".  Coffeyville's bench also proved too strong for Butler with Coffeyville's bench easily outscoring Butler's bench 18-4.

Coffeyville was able to push the pace early and achieved a 38-33 halftime lead. Early in the second half, Butler tied the game at 41-41, however, Coffeyville pulled back ahead and never trailed the rest of the contest in the 76-66 victory.

Coffeyville had three players in double figures including sophomore guard Tylor Perry with 19 points, freshman guard Love Bettis with 18, and sophomore guard Bostyn Holt with 13.

Coffeyville will return to action on Monday, March 15th with a home tilt with the Neosho County Panthers (6-7).  Tipoff in Nellis Gymnasium is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
