In an afternoon game, the Coffeyville Community College Red Raven men's basketball team defeated the Colby Trojans 81-72.

With the win the Red Ravens extend their overall record to 10-3 and 6-3 in KJCCC conference play.

Coffeyville powered out of the gates on the Trojans and were in command with a 26-11 lead at the 8:30 mark of the first half.  The Red Ravens finished the first half strong and went into halftime with a 46-31 lead.

 However, in the second half, the pesky Trojans kept the game in the 8-10 point range heading into the last five minutes of the game.  A little later, the Trojans were able to pull within four points 70-74 with 2:30 left in the game.  At this point, the Red Ravens regained their footing and put in a push to finish the game with the win 81-72.

The Red Ravens shoot the ball well on the afternoon going 29/50 (58%) overall from the field and 7/16 (44%) from the three point line.

Leaders for the Red Ravens included freshmen guard Malik Keith (16 pts, 6 rebounds & 5 assists), sophomore forward Tedrick Wolfe (15 pts), freshmen guard TJ Washington (14 pts and 5 assists), and freshmen forward Cedric Roland (12 pts).

Coffeyville will return to action after the holiday break with their next scheduled game on Wednesday, January 4th at home against Garden City.  Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 pm.
