Red Ravens Split Final Two Games in Series vs Cowley

Arkansas City, Kan. - The Coffeyville Community College Red Raven Baseball team split the final two games of their 4-game series against the Cowley Tigers.  Coffeyville lost the first game of the day 4-2 while winning the second game 6-4.  With the split, Coffeyville's overall record moves to 7-10 on the year.

Game #1 - 4-2 Loss

Coffeyville jumped out quickly scoring 2 runs in the bottom of the first to take the early 2-0 lead.  Cowley took over the lead by scoring 4 runs in the top of the fourth and Cowley took the eventual 4-2 victory.

Sophomore Ryan Leiker pitched four and a third for Coffeyville giving up 4 earned on 5 hits while striking out 5 and walking 5.

Game #2 - 6-4 Victory

In a back-and-forth contest, Coffeyville scored 2 in the fourth, 3 in the seventh, and 1 in the eighth to earn the 6-4 victory.

Red Raven sophomore center fielder Jaden Hill and freshman second baseman Carson Miller both had two hits and an RBI each in the victory.

Left-hander Noe Stroer pitched five and a third for Coffeyville giving up 3 earned on 6 hits while walking 3.
