Coffeyville, Kan. - In a defensive struggle, the Coffeyville Community College Red Raven Men's Soccer Team defeated the Vikings of Jefferson College 1-0.  With the victory, the Red Ravens improved their overall record to 6-4-2 on the season.

After a first half that had both teams struggle to work the ball offensively, Coffeyville was finally able to break through at the 38:34 mark of the second half as Red Raven sophomore Mario De La Fuente took an upfield pass from freshman Lev Kozlov and dribbled about 10 yards and drilled a shot high and to the right of the goalkeeper to give the Ravens a 1-0 lead.  The remainder of the game had the Ravens pulling back defensively to secure the 1-0 victory.

Coffeyville will return to Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference (KJCCC) action on Wednesday, October 4th as they travel to Great Bend KS to compete against the #6 NJCAA-ranked Barton Cougars.  Kick-off in Great Bend is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
