Red Raven Volleyball's Season Ends With 3-0 Loss to Johnson in District Playoffs

Overland Park, Kan. - The Coffeyville Community College Red Raven Volleyball Team completed their unusual 2020-21 spring season with a 3-0 defeat at the hands of the Johnson County Cavaliers in the District playoffs.  The Red Ravens' overall record on the season concluded at 11-15 with a 9-11 KJCCC conference mark.  The 9-11 conference mark placed the Ravens eighth in the eleven-team KJCCC East Division.

Coffeyville had earned the right to play in the playoffs with a gutsy last regular-season game victory over #15 ranked Highland to advance into the playoffs.  However, in their match against Johnson, the Red Ravens were not able to muster the same magic and lost in straight sets 25-11, 25-11, and 25-16.

Head coach Katrina Gockley will be heading into her second year with next year's 2021 fall NJCAA volleyball season and the freshmen Ravens will also be looking forward to playing their sophomore season.
