Concordia, Kan. - The Coffeyville Community College Women's Volleyball Team traveled to Concordia Kansas to play in a tri-match where they lost (3-0) their opening match to Cloud County Community College and also lost (3-1) their second match of the day to Southeast Community College.  With the two losses, the Red Raven's overall record falls to 8-8 including 6-6 in KJCCC conference play.  Coffeyville is currently ninth in the eleven-team KJCCC East division.

Game #1 saw the Red Ravens lose the opening set to Cloud in a close 25-20 margin.  Trying to fight back from the opening set loss, Coffeyville went on to lose set #2 (25-17) and set #3 (25-13) in the 3-0 defeat.  Raven sophomore Raina Forstrom led the team with 8 kills in the match and freshman Paola Molina led the way defensively with 11 digs.

In game #2 against Southeast CC, Coffeyville again dropped the first set (25-22).  However, in this one, the Ravens were able to bounce back and take the second set (25-20) to even the match at one set each.  However, Coffeyville was not able to capitalize on the second set momentum and lost the third set (25-17) and the fourth set (25-20) to lose the match 3-1.  Freshman Hannah Armstrong and sophomore Aria Watson led the team with 10 kills each in the match.

The Red Ravens will return to action this Thursday, March 18th with a home match against the Allen County Red Devils.  First-serve in Nellis Hall scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
