Coffeyville came into the National Tournament with an overall record of 36-3, coming off a District N Championship, and looking to defend their National Championship. Well they got it started off right on Thursday. Their first opponent was the 16th seeded Mercyhurst North East. Mercyhurst came into the tournament with an overall record of 17-8. The lady Red Ravens made short work of the Saints beating them in three sets with the game scores being 25-11, 25-16, and 25-8.

Their next opponent would put up more of a fight, but wouldn't steal a set from the Ravens either. The 8th seeded Northeast Hawks came into the contest with a record of 20-13, but their season would end tonight as #1 Coffeyville would be too much to handle. Coffeyville would win the games 25-15, 25-21, and 25-20 to advance in the tournament.

The Red Ravens will be back in action tomorrow in the final four to take on the winner of Kirkwood and South Moutain at 5:30 pm
