Red Ravens Split 4-Game Series with Fort Scott: Will Travel for 1st Round Region VI Playoffs

The Coffeyville Community College Red Raven Baseball Team ended their regular season splitting a four-game series against the Greyhounds of Fort Scott.  Coffeyville lost the first two games 9-5 and 6-5 on Friday, May 6th, and then turned around on Saturday, May 7th, and won 3-1 and 9-5.  With the split, the Ravens ended the regular season with an overall record of 31-22 which included a 15-17 Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference (KJCCC) record.  The 15-17 KJCCC record placed Coffeyville fifth in the KJCCC East regular season out of nine teams.

As the fifth team in the KJCCC East, Coffeyville will match up with the KJCCC West #4 seed, the Butler Grizzlies in the First Round of the Region VI Playoffs.  As the higher seed, Butler will host the best of three series starting on Wednesday, May 11th.  Single 9-inning games will be played at Butler on Wednesday, May 11th along with a game on May 12th, and then if needed a game on May 13th.  Game times are set for 5:00 pm on Wednesday, and 1:00 pm starts on May 12th and 13th.
