Carroll Walks it Off in the 10th

The Ravens hosted one, 9 inning game against Northern Oklahoma College Tonkawa. Donnie Beck got the nod to start on the mound on the mound for the Ravens. Beck threw a 2 run, no hit gem against the Mav's of Northern Oklahoma College. Quentin Romero would come in as relief to record an out then Kreighton Rogers come in to finish off the inning. Dempsey Battin would come in for the 7th inning giving up 2 hits and a run. Owen Logan came in to close out the top of the seventh giving up a run on no hits and setting 2 guys down on strikes. Anthony Blanchette would come into pitch for the 8th and the 9th inning giving up only 1 hit in his 2 innings of work keeping the Mavs at bay and kept the game tied to take the game into a 10th inning. In the 10th inning, Jackson Blancarte was handed the ball and given the task of holding NOC and did just that. Jackson threw 1 inning racking up a strikeout on no hits and no runs scored. The Ravens offense was just as good as the pitching. Zac Freeman was hot going 3-3 with an impressive, 6 RBI's. Coffeyville's bats kept them alive and scoring a two runs in the 9th to tie the game and sent into extras. In the bottom of the 10th inning the first to batters go down on strikes bringing up Jackson Doherty who works a full count walk, putting the game winning run on first. With Blake Carroll at the plate, Jackson uses his speed to knab a bag, putting the winning run in scoring position. Blake Carroll worked a full count after fouling off several tough pitches, Blake finally puts a ball between the lines, and the center and right fielder giving Carroll a double and the Ravens the walk off victory. Jackson scores and Blake Carroll is the Ravens hero after 10 great innings of baseball. Ravens win the game, 9-8.

The Ravens are back in action again at home Thursday, April 3 against Highland Community College.
