Red Raven Baseball Place Five on All-KJCCC Teams

The Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference and the NJCAA Region VI have announced their Annual Baseball Awards and the Coffeyville Community College Red Raven Baseball team was well represented.

Carson Schrack -  KJCCC East Freshman of the Year, 1st-Team All-KJCCC East, 2nd-Team All-Region VI

Red Raven freshman infielder Carson Schrack, from Edgerton KS, was recognized as the KJCCC East Freshman of the Year as well as 1st Team All-KJCCC East and 2nd Team All-Region VI.  On the year,  Schrack hit at a team-best .404 clip (84-for-208) with 22 doubles, four triples, five home runs, 58 runs scored, and 55 driven in. He ranks second in the conference in doubles, third in hits, and tied for ninth in batting average. Schrack has produced 28 multiple-hit and 15 multiple-RBI games. He got his season off to a tremendous start, hitting for a cycle with five RBI in his season opener against Arkansas State. That started a string of nine straight multi-hit games.

Jack Bell - 2nd-Team All-KJCCC East, Region VI Baseball Gold Glove Team

Red Raven sophomore center fielder Jack Bell, from Andover KS, earned a 2nd Team All-KJCCC East nod along with a spot on the KJCCC/Region VI Baseball Gold Glove Team.  Bell batted .357 on the season with 18 doubles and 51 stolen bases to go along with a .993 fielding percentage.

Ricky Hernandez - 2nd-Team All-KJCCC East

Red Raven freshman right-hand pitcher Ricky Hernandez, from Bixby OK, earned a 2nd Team All-KJCCC honor as a starting pitcher.  Hernandez had a 9-3 record on the season with 8 complete games along with one shutout, 71 strikeouts, and a 4.32 ERA.

Quentin Platt - 2nd-Team All-KJCCC East

Red Raven sophomore infielder/DH Quentin Platt, from Liberty MO, earned a spot on the 2nd-Team All-KJCCC East.  Platt batted .311 on the season with 10 doubles and 25 RBIs.

Mason Holton - All-KJCCC East Honorable Mention 

Red Raven sophomore shortstop Mason Holton, from Overland Park KS, was recognized with as an Honorable Mention All-KJCCC East member.  Holton batted .359 on the season with 11 doubles and 65 RBIs.

The Red Ravens ended their season with an overall record of 28-31.  Coffeyville ended their season with a game #3 loss in a best-of-3 series against the Cloud County Thunderbirds in the first round of the NJCAA Baseball Plains Regional Tournament.
