Coffeyville, Kan. - The Coffeyville Community College Red Raven Women's Basketball Team defeated the Trojans of Colby 81-50.  With the victory, Coffeyville moves to an overall record of 15-7 including an 11-5 record in Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference (KJCCC) games.  The 11-5 KJCCC record currently has the Ravens in fifth place in the 13-team KJCCC Division I standings.

Coffeyville won this game in the second quarter as they outscored the Trojans 26-8 in the quarter on their way to a 47-23 halftime lead.  Coffeyville, in the second half, built their lead up to 65-33 heading into the fourth quarter and then sat most of their starters and allowed bench players valuable minutes of playing time for the entire fourth quarter.  As the time ticked to zero, Coffeyville had the 81-50 victory.

The top player for Coffeyville on the afternoon was freshman guard Bailey Layman who had 22 points on 6/14 from behind the arc.  Overall, Coffeyville had 13 of their rostered 15 players score in the game.

Coffeyville returns to action with a road game to El Dorado Kansas as they will play the #21 ranked Grizzlies of Butler Community College on Wednesday, February 1st.  Tip-off in El Dorado is scheduled for 5:30 pm.
