Layman, Fox, Ortiz Earn Women's Basketball All-Conference Honors

The 2024 Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference (KJCCC) has released their 2024 All-Conference team selections and the Red Ravens had three out of their five starters represented.  Sophomore guard Bailey Layman (Cleveland OK), sophomore forward Ivy Fox (White Shield ND), and sophomore guard Kyleigh Ortiz (Kansas OK) all made second-team selections on the KJCCC All-Conference teams. 

#13 Bailey Layman - 2nd Team All-KJCCC

While playing in 32 games this year for the Red Ravens, Layman averaged 10.5 points while shooting an overall 39.5% from the field.  From behind the 3-point line, Layman shot 37% (5th best in the KJCCC) while also averaging 87.9% from the free-throw line.  Layman also averaged 4.8 rebounds per and 1.5 assists per game.  Layman had three games this year where she scored over 20 points.

 

#14 Ivy Fox - 2nd Team All-KJCCC

As a 6'0' forward this year on the Red Raven team, Fox averaged 10.8 points along with 5.2 rebounds per game.  Fox scored in double figures in 20 out of 32 games she played this season.

 

#3 Kyleigh Ortiz - 2nd Team All-KJCCC

On the season, Ortiz averaged 9.1 points per game while shooting 38% overall from the field and 36% (8th best in the KJCCC) from behind the 3-point line.  Ortiz also averaged 2.8 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game.  Ortiz's 74 made 3-pointers on the season ranked as the seventh most in the KJCCC this year.
