Ben McClung joined the Coffeyville Community College coaching staff as the Offensive Coordinator and Quarterbacks Coach in the spring of 2025. With a strong background in offensive strategy and player development, he brings a wealth of experience from the NCAA Division I and Division II levels.
Before arriving at Coffeyville, McClung spent two seasons at Eastern Michigan University, where he worked with the offense in multiple capacities. In 2024, he served as an Offensive Assistant, focusing on the development of the team's quarterbacks. The previous season (2023), he was an Offensive Quality Control coach, contributing to game preparation, scouting, and opponent analysis.
Before Eastern Michigan, McClung was the Tight Ends Coach at the University of Central Missouri (2022), where he helped develop All-Conference selection Malik Clayborn and Player of the Week Bo Reeves. His experience also includes time at Abilene Christian University (2021) as a Graduate Assistant working with the offensive line.
During his time as a Student Assistant at Central Missouri (2017–2020), McClung worked on both sides of the ball. In 2019, he was the Running Backs Coach, guiding Devante Turner and Koby Wilkerson to All-Conference honors. That season, Central Missouri went 11-2, won a conference championship, and led the nation in total offense, averaging 547 yards per game. He also spent two seasons (2017-2018) assisting the defensive staff.
