Red Raven Football Place 12 Athletes on KJCCC All-Conference Teams

The Coffeyville Community College Red Raven football team placed a total of 12 athletes filling 14 spots on the 2016 Kansas Jayhawk Community College All-Conference football teams.

Malik Stanley, sophomore from Topeka Kansas, earned a First Team All-Conference nod at wide receiver.  On the year, Stanley had 58 receptions for 712 yards and 6 touchdowns.


Terry Wright, sophomore from Memphis Tennessee, earned Second Team All-Conference at wide receiver.  Wright amassed 50 receptions for 805 yards and 8 touchdowns on the season.  Wright also earned a spot on the Honarable Mention Team as punt returner.


Freshmen place kicker/punter Cooper Lee, from DeSoto Kansas, earned First Team honors as both punter and kicker.  On the season, Lee punted 80 times for a 39.4 yard average and 22 punts inside the 20.  In kicking, Lee made 8/12 field goals attempted with a long of 37 yards.  Lee was also 40/45 extra points on the year for the Red Ravens.


Sophomore running back Marcelus Ware, from St Petersburg Florida, earned Second Team honors as running back.  Ware ran the ball 114 times this season to gain 592 yards and 5 touchdowns.


Sophomore defensive back Willie Hobdy, from Garland Texas, earned Second Team honors at corner.  For the season, Hobdy racked up 44 total tackles, 7 pass breakups and 3 interceptions.


Sophomore center Dominique Briggs, from Tulsa Oklahoma, earned a Honorable Mention nod at the center position.


Sophomore fullback Mauricio Chio, from Olahte Kansas, earned a spot on the Honorable Mention team as fullback.  Chio, for the season, had 12 receptions for 86 yards and 3 touchdowns.


Sophomore defensive tackle Derek Boles, from Lakeland Florida, earned Honorable Mention as defensive tackle.  Boles had 66 total tackles and 5 sacks on the year.


Sophomore defensive end Markes Scott, from Miami Florida, earned Honorable Mention as defensive end.  Scott had 54 total tackles and 6.5 sacks on the year.


Sophomore linebacker Ferrod Gardner, from Dayton Ohio, earned Honorable Mention as linebacker.  Gardner had 67 total tackles, 2 sacks, 3 fumble recoverys, and 1 interception on the year.


Freshmen linebacker Jacob Rodman, from Wichita Kansas, earned Honorable Mention as linebacker.  Rodman had 95 total tackles, 1.5 sacks, and 2 interceptions on the year.


Freshmen safety Darreon Jackson, from Wichita Kansas, earned Honorable Mention as safety.  On the season Jackson had 94 total tackles, 6 pass breakups and 5 interceptions.
