20 Point Fourth Quarter Fuels the Red Ravens Over the Cowley College Tigers 47-39

Coffeyville, Kan. - The Coffeyville Community College Red Raven Women's Basketball Team outscored the Cowley Tigers 20-9 in the fourth quarter on their way to the 47-39 victory.  With the victory, the Red Ravens improved their overall record to 14-7 including a 9-6 mark in Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference (KJCCC) matchups.  The 9-6 KJCCC record currently has Coffeyville in fifth place in the 13-team KJCCC Div I Women's Conference standings.

The Red Ravens finally were able to put some points on the board.   After only scoring 27 points through three quarters, Coffeyville scored 20 points in the final quarter to dispatch the pesky Tigers from Cowley College.  On a night where the Red Ravens shot 4/16 (25%) from behind the 3-point line along with shooting 37% overall from the field, Coffeyville's bench players stood out while outscoring Cowley's bench 24-3.

Game leaders for Coffeyville included freshman guard Karys Washington off the bench with 12 points, sophomore guard Bailey Layman with 9 points and 6 rebounds,  and sophomore guard Tetona Woods-Blackowl with 8 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists.

The Red Ravens will hit the road on Saturday, February 3rd as they will travel to El Dorado Kansas to play the Grizzlies of Butler Community College.  Gametime in El Dorado is set for 2:00 p.m.
