Ravens Respond After Slow Start to Defeat the Trojans of Colby 57-38

Colby, Kan. - The Coffeyville Community College Red  Raven Women's Basketball Team earned a Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference (KJCCC) victory as the Red Ravens defeated the Colby Trojans 57-38.  With the victory the Red Ravens improved their overall record to 12-5 on the season including a 7-4 mark in KJCCC matchups.

It took the Red Ravens the first quarter to get warmed up from the long bus ride as Colby led Coffeyville 11-7 after the first quarter.  However, after the first quarter the Ravens outscored the Trojans 50-27 the remainder of the game to earn the 57-38 road victory.

Top performers for Coffeyville included sophomore Natalya Jones with 10 points and 7 rebounds, sophomore Ivy Fox with 9 points, and freshman Karys Washington with 8 points and 7 rebounds.

Coffeyville will return to action with a home matchup against the Pirates of Independence on Saturday, January 20th in Nellis Hall.  Tip-off is set for 5:00 p.m.
