Red  Raven Women's Basketball Bounce Back in Win Over Neosho 69-49

Coffeyville Community College Red Raven Women's basketball team defeated the Panthers of Neosho County 69-49.

The win extends the Red Ravens overall record to 17-7 and improves their KJCCC conference record to 16-5.  The 16-5 conference record currently has the Red Ravens in third place in the fourteen team conference.

Coffeyville was able to bounce back, after a tough loss two nights earlier to #6 ranked Seward Saints, mainly due to the Red Ravens hot three point shooting.  In the game versus Neosho, the Red Ravens shot a sound 9/22 (41%) from the three point line and 24/60 (40%) overall from the field for the game.  In comparison, the Panthers of Neosho were a dismal 6/27 (22%) from three and 18/63 (29%) overall.

Stat leaders for the Red Ravens included freshmen forward Lucy Burke (20 points on 4/7 three pointers, 3 rebounds and 4 assists), sophomore center Antionette Daniels (13 points and 9 rebounds), and sophomore guard Desiree Nelson (12 points on 4/10 three pointers and 4 assists).

Coffeyville will hit the road for a game at Colby to take on the Colby Community College Trojans on Thursday, February 16th.  Tip-off for the game is scheduled for 6:00 pm.
