Ravens Drop Two at Home vs Highland

Coffeyville, Kan. - The Coffeyville Community College Red Raven Softball Team dropped two home games to Highland 9-2 and 12-3.  With the losses, the Red Ravens overall record falls to 5-23 including a KJCCC record of 4-16.   The 4-16 KJCCC mark has the Ravens in fifth place in the six-team division two division B rankings.

Game 1 - 9-2 Loss

Coffeyville Community College watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 9-2 loss to Highland Community College.  The Scotties of Highland scored eight of their nine runs in the first two innings of the game.

The Red Ravens' freshman Tyra Owl connected on a home run in the first inning.  Freshman Maddie Tadrus led Coffeyville with three hits in three at bats.

Game 2 - 12-3 Loss

The Red Ravens had a tough time generating runs against Highland dropping their second game 12-3.

Coffeyville did score first in the second inning when freshman Kyilee Chumley homered on the first pitch of the at-bat, scoring two runs.  Ravens freshman Shania Henry also had a solo home run in the second to put the Ravens ahead 3-0.  However, the Scotties answered in the top of the third with five runs of their own.  

Coffeyville was not able to generate any further offense and the Ravens lost 12-3.
