Red Ravens Add One to the Win Column, Take One of Two From Neosho

Coffeyville, Kan. - The Coffeyville Community College Red Raven Women's Softball Team added to their win column as they defeated the Panthers of Neosho County in the second game of their home doubleheader to split the two-game series.  With the split, the Red Ravens' overall record stands at 2-18 including a 1-5 record in Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference (KJCCC) contests.

Game #1 - 17-2 Loss

Game #1 on the afternoon saw Coffeyville jump out to an early 2-0 lead after scoring two runs in the bottom of the first inning.  However, the Ravens could not hold the lead as the Panthers scored four in the eight, four in the fourth, and eight in the fifth on their way to the 17-2 defeat of the Ravens.  Freshman right fielder Alyssa Santana had a double and an RBI in the game for the Ravens.

Game #2 - 6-5 Win

The Red Ravens come back in style in the second game of the day.  Coffeyville trailed the Panthers 5-0 heading to the bottom of the fourth inning, the Ravens promptly scored five in the bottom of the fourth to tie the game and then scored the winning run in the bottom of the seventh in walk-off style! Coffeyville freshman second baseman Jadyn Roberts slugged a homer along with three RBIs while Bri Harkins and Skyller Hopper both had doubles for the Red Ravens.  Red-shirt freshman Addison Pakenham pitched five and a third for the Ravens allowing three earned while scattering eight hits and striking out seven.
