Red Raven Softball Lose Two at Highland

The Coffeyville Community College Red Raven softball team traveled to Highland Community College and lost both games of a double header, 11-3 and 8-0.

The losses drop the Red Raven's overall record to 10-26 and 1-11 in KJCCC conference play.

The Red Ravens jumped out quickly in the the first game, scoring 2 runs in the top of the first to take a 2-0 lead.  However, the Scotties of Highland came right back with 3 runs of their own in the bottom of the first.

Coffeyville regained the lead, scoring a run in the top of the third.  However, Highland scored 4 runs in each of the fourth and fifth innings to take the 11-3 victory.

Offensively, the Red Ravens were led by sophomore Jhoneecie Pulse (double), sophomore RiAnne Bunnell (2 hits including a double) and freshmen Rebecca Luper (a 2 RBI double).

Game #2 saw the Red Ravens in an early 2-0 hole after one inning.  The deficit continued throughout the game with the Red Ravens getting the 8-0 loss.

Coffeyville had four hits in the game including hits from freshmen Jessica Holt, Jhonieecie Pulse, freshmen Alyssa Dawson and freshmen Angela Nixon.

Next on the schedule for the Red Ravens is a road game, April 4th at Fort Scott Community College.  Game times are set for 2:00 and 4:00.
