The Coffeyville Community College Track & Field and Cross Country programs announce the hiring of a new assistant coach, Coach Michal McGruder.

Coach Michael McGruder, a native of Little Rock Arkansas, arrived in the spring of 2022 as the assistant track/cross country coach. 

McGruber was a Junior College All-American while competing at Arkansas Baptist College.  He went on to the University of Arkansas - Little Rock and then transferred to Northwestern State University of Louisiana where he helped the Demons to qualify for the NCAA West Regional in the 4x100m relay. 

McGruder has had assistant coaching stops at Neosho County Community College and Bethel College where he has coached 9 NAIA All Americans and as well as 1 Olympic Trials Qualifier. 

Coach McGruder is in charge of coaching the Hurdles and Long Sprints.
