Gerald Neasman
Wide Receiver (1995 & 1996)

William “Gerald” Neasman was born in Vicksburg, Mississippi to General Neasman and Elizabeth Neasman. Neasman was the youngest of three siblings: Trish Neasman, Juatiki Neasman, and Sylvia Bookhardt.

Gerald was raised in Anthony, Florida where he graduated from North Marion High School.

Neasman was a member of the Red Ravens during the 1995 and 1996 football seasons.  Coffeyville’s 1995 team record was 6-3-1 while the 1996 team went 9-2.
Neasman was a first-team All-Jayhawk Conference selection as a kickoff returner and a second-team pick as a wide receiver and earned honorable-mention NJCAA All-America honors as a return specialist for Coffeyville Community College. The MVP of the 1996 Jayhawk Conference Championship Game, Neasman had 1,291 all-purpose yards in 1996, including 22 kickoff returns for 790 yards and three touchdowns, averaging 35.9 yards per kickoff return.

In 1996 in a game for the Ravens, Neasman played quarterback, wide receiver, and defensive back all in a single game.

After earning his Associate of Science degree from Coffeyville, Neasman transferred to Kansas State University in Manhattan Kansas where he played from 1997 through 1998.

At K-State, Neasman was used mainly as a kick-off return specialist.  K-State set a school record in averaging 26.1 yards per kickoff return in 1997 and ranked No. 4 in the nation. Neasman, chosen as special teams’ player of the game against Nebraska, Kansas, and Colorado, was a big reason why.

Neasman finished his career at K-State with 18 kickoff returns for 533 yards and one touchdown. His career average of 29.6 yards per kickoff return ranked No. 1 all-time at K-State when he finished his career after the 1998 season.

After college, Neasman went undrafted in the NFL but had a short stint with the St. Louis Rams in 1999.  Neasman then played one season (2000) with the Edmonton Eskimos of the Canadian Football League.  Neasman went on to play six seasons (2001-2007) in the Arena Football League.

After his football career ended, Neasman moved to Florida where he works as a paraprofessional and football coach at Vanguard High School.  Neasman also owns a lawn and landscape business.

Neasman is married to his wife Charollete Neasman. Gerald has a total of 11 kids of which he is very proud of.
