Brandon Walker
Offensive Lineman (2005)

 

Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan to Yvonne and Clifford Walker, Brandon attended Oak Park High School. Brandon was a two-sport standout in high school where he received All-State Honors in both football and track and field. In 2004 Brandon was considered one of the best high school athletes in the state of Michigan and received an invitation to the Michigan High School All-Star game. 
 
With the guidance of his high school football coach, Keith Stevens and parents, Brandon decided to attend Coffeyville Community College, in 2004, after graduating high school. In 2004 during fall camp Brandon was competing for a spot on Coffeyville’s 12 man out of state roster and suffered an injury to his right hand that required surgery, ending his season. Returning in 2005, Brandon earned a spot on the roster and was able to accomplish First-team All-Conference and First-team All-American Honors. And was also named the Jayhawk Conference Lineman of the Year. The team would also go on to win the Conference Championship. Brandon was considered the number 12 overall recruit in the nation and the number 2 ranked offensive lineman.  Receiving numerous offers from some of the best college football programs in the country, Brandon chose Coach Bob Stoops and the University of Oklahoma over Florida State University.
  
Brandon was a 3-year starter while at the University of Oklahoma. Playing for one of the most high-powered offenses of all time. These legendary players include; Adrian Peterson, DeMarco Murray, Sam Bradford and many others.  Brandon helped lead the offense to three Big 12 Championships in his 3 seasons. In 2008, OU won the title of Most Points Scored by an Offense in a single season. Sam Bradford won the Heisman that same year with the immense support of this powerhouse of an offensive line. During his time at the University of Oklahoma, Brandon played in two Fiesta Bowls against Boise State and West Virginia, and an Orange Bowl.
 
He started in The National Championship Orange Bowl game where the No.1 ranked Sooners faced off against the No. 2 ranked Florida Gators led by Tim Tebow.
  
After the Orange Bowl, Brandon was invited to participate in the NFL Combine.  Running a 5.17 and a 34-inch vertical, he entered the draft after completion of the Combine.  He moved to Free Agency and was selected by the Houston Texans.  He left the Texans to play in UFL in Las Vegas for two more years and retired.  Pursuing a career in Oil and Gas, Brandon’s work ethic and natural leadership abilities moved him through the ranks into his current Managerial Position.  He currently resides in Yukon, Oklahoma with his amazing daughter Aubrey Walker.
