After an illustrious 22-year career at Coffeyville Community College (CCC), Head Football Coach and Athletic Director Jeff Leiker has decided to step down from his coaching position. Coach Leiker has been an integral part of CCC, contributing his expertise and leadership to the football program for a decade and serving the college community in the role of Athletic Director for the remaining years.
Under Coach Leiker's guidance, the CCC football program has experienced notable success, achieving milestones and fostering a culture of excellence both on and off the field. His dedication and passion for the sport have left an indelible mark on the college's athletic department.
Coach Leiker's coaching legacy at CCC spans a decade on the football field, boasting an impressive overall record of 76-40 (.660 win percentage) during the periods 2001-2007 and 2020-2023. Notable highlights include leading the 2022 Red Raven Football Team to an 8-3 overall record, earning a coveted spot in the inaugural NJCAA Final Four Playoff, and concluding the season with a #5 NJCAA ranking.
Under Coach Leiker's stewardship, the Red Ravens experienced a golden era, participating in six consecutive bowl games from 2001-2006, with three victories. The pinnacle came in 2004 with a #3 national ranking, a 10-2 record, and the triumph of the Valley of the Sun Bowl Championship.
In recognition of his exceptional contributions to college football, Jeff Leiker was rightfully inducted into the NJCAA Football Hall of Fame in 2010. His commitment to excellence also secured him a lasting place in the CCC Lettermen's Hall of Fame, underscoring his enduring impact on the college's athletic heritage.
While Coach Leiker is stepping down from his coaching responsibilities, he will continue to be a valued member of the CCC community. Jeff Leiker will resume the role of Athletic Director, where he will leverage his extensive experience and commitment further to enhance the overall athletic program at Coffeyville Community College.
