2023 Red Raven Football Picked to Finish Second in 2023 KJCCC Predicted Order of Finish

During the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference (KJCCC) annual Football Media Day on Friday, July 28th, the conference football coaches voted on their opinions on this year's conference finish.

The 2023 KJCCC Football "Predicted Order of Finish" looks a lot like the football conference finish from last year.  The top 3 places in last year's (2022) conference finish, Hutchinson, Coffeyville and Butler took the top 3 places in the 2023 KJCCC predictions with Garden City, Independence, Dodge City, and Highland rounding out 7 team conference order.

While at the Media Day, Coffeyville Head Football Coach Jeff Leiker answered some questions about the quickly approaching 2023 Red Raven Football season;

"Our staff returns intact with the exception of newcomers Tanner Glisson - Asst. O-Line and Zeke Powell  - TE".
 
 
2.  Who are your top returning Players?
 
"We have a number of returning players who will contribute this year including CB - Kameron Pearson, OLB - Jabari Tiller, OL - Que McBroom, WR - Joseph Young, LB - Landon Barrett, OL - Chayce Chadwick, RB  - Ozarrio Smith, TE - Brec Long, QB - Conner Apo, OL - Chris Williams, OL - Michael Adams, DL - Jmani Johnson, SS - Jaeden Hamilton, DL - Josiah Shelley, TE - Jaiden Dozier, TE - Remington Easley, OL - Mech'e Joseph, OL - Antonio Caballero, LB - Ron Perry, WR - Richard Ransom, WR - Garrett Almond, DL - Jamel Fils- Aime, DB - Adrian Patterson, RB - Omiri Wiggins. 4.  What are the strengths of your team?
 
"The stability of the coaching staff is the strength. Our kids have heard the same terminology and have been coached by the same individuals."
 
 
5.  What are the weaknesses of your team?
 
"Inexperience.  As a whole, we will have an unproven group of players."
 
 
6.  What will be the biggest challenge facing your team's development?
 
"We feel like we have recruited well and it will be tough making decisions at some positions as to who is on the active roster."
 
 
7.  Give your thoughts on the Conference race - who looks good?
 
"Hutchinson, Coffeyville, Butler, Garden City, Independence, Dodge City, Highland"
