The Coffeyville Community College men's and women's golf teams competed in the Southwestern Christian University Invite on September 8-9.  The two-round Invite was hosted on Lake Hefner Golf Course in Oklahoma City Oklahoma.

The Red Raven women's team were able to get their first-round in, but a lengthy weather delay erased their second-round scores.  The all freshmen women's team was led by Gracee Hilburn (Valley Mills TX) with an eight-over par 80 for her round.  Hilburn's score of 80 placed her tied for 15th overall.  Other Red Raven scores included Bailey Werner (Independence KS) with a 103 (41st place), Carter Russell (OKC OK) with a 104 (42nd), and Hayley Rivett (Berryville AR) with a score of 125 (45th).

The overall women's team score of 412 placed them 9th as a team.

The Red Raven men's team avoided the weather delays and were able to get both tournament rounds in.   Sophomore Dalton Criner (Ponca City OK) led the Ravens with rounds of 76 and 75.  His total of 151 placed Dalton tied for 24th overall.  Rounding out Coffeyville's team was sophomore Carter Swearingen (Nevada MO) with a two-round score of 154 (77, 77) to place tied for 41st, sophomore Taylor Hoskinson with a two-round score of 184 (95, 89) to place 55th, freshman Logan May (Hominy OK) with a two-round score of 203 (99, 104) to place 57th, and freshman John Tallawan (Hominy OK) with a two-round score of 235 (123, 112) to place 58th.

The overall men's team score of 692 placed them 10th as a team.

Next up for the Red Raven Golf Team's is their home Coffeyville Invitational, which will be hosted on Hillcrest Golf Course on Tuesday, September 22nd.
