Red Ravens Take 3 of 4 from Labette, Ryan Leiker Named Conner Taylor Award Recipient

Coffeyville, Kan. - The Coffeyville Red Raven Baseball Team took three out of four games against the Cardinals of Labette to finish off their regular season.  With the victories, the Red Ravens end their 2024 regular season with an overall record of 27-29 including a 12-20 Kansas Jayhawk Community College mark.

Coffeyville has qualified for post-season play this season and will travel to Dodge City KS to play the Conquistadors of Dodge City Community College in the opening round of the NJCAA Baseball Plains Regional Tournament.  The opening round consists of a best-of-three series.  The Ravens will play one nine-inning game each day in Dodge City.  Games will be played on May 9th and 10th as well as May 11th if needed.

In between the games this past Saturday, the Red Raven Conner Taylor Memorial Award was presented to Ryan Leiker.

Conner Taylor was a member of the 2016 Red Raven Baseball team who tragically took his own life at a young age.  Conner was a bright and caring young man on and off the baseball field.  Conner excelled in the Classroom and was loved by his family, friends, and all others that had the pleasure of knowing him.

This year's recipient of the Conner Taylor Memorial Award was Ryan Leiker.  Leiker is a sophomore pitcher on the Red Raven team and has worked hard on the field and in the classroom.  Leiker has maintained a 3.9 GPA while at CCC and has won 10 games over the last two seasons on the mound for the Ravens.
