Ex Raven Pitcher Gareth Stroh Earns Big 10 Conference Pitcher of the Week Honors

Ex Red Raven left handed pitcher Gareth Stroh, currently pitching for Purdue University, has earned the Big 10 Conference Pitcher of the Week honors for the week of April 17-23rd.

As a freshmen, Stroh pitched for the Red Ravens during the 2015-16 school year before transferring to Purdue.  While at Coffeyville Stroh appeared in 21 games, making 12 starts and recording 67 strikeouts in 70 inning pitched.

During this past week, Stroh helped lead Purdue over the University of Illinois in a three game sweep with Stroh's starting performance highlighted by a complete game two hit, 4-1 victory on Saturday.  Stroh also earned a save earlier in the week with a three out save against Indian State on April 19th.  In total, Stroh retired 30 of the 33 batters he faced over the week.

Stroh became the first Purdue starting pitcher since 2013 to earn a win and a save in the same week.
