Ravens Earn KJCCC Victory with a 3-1 Defeat of Highland

Coffeyville, Kan. -  The Coffeyville Community College Red Raven Women's Volleyball Team earned their first Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference (KJCCC) victory of the season with a 3-1 victory over the Scotties of Highland Community College.  In victory, the Red  Raven improved their overall 2023 record to 5-7 including a 1-1 record in KJCCC matchups.

For the second straight game, the Red Ravens opened the match by dropping the first set and then ripping through the next three sets to secure the 3-1 victory.  Against Highland, Coffeyville lost the first set 25-14, then reeled off three straight winning the second set 25-18, the third set 25-17, and the fourth set 25-14.

Coffeyville had two players double-double in the match with freshman outside hitter Madison Grekstas leading the way with 16 kills to go along with 10 digs.  Red Raven sophomore hitter Sarah Madsen tallied 14 kills to go along with an amazing 20 digs.  Grekstas and Madsen were set-up by sophomore Taylor Burns and freshman Olivia Murphy who had 21 and 19 assists respectively. 

Red Raven Volleyball has a weekend of Volleyball coming up with a three-team round-robin scheduled in Nellis East on Saturday, September 9th with Coffeyville playing at 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.
