Red Raven Volleyball Wins Third in a Row with 3-1 Home Defeat of Neosho

Coffeyville, Kan. - The Coffeyville Community College Red Raven Volleyball Team defeated the Panthers of Neosho County 3-1.  The win is the third in a row for the Ravens and has them sitting on an overall record of 8-5 including a 6-4 KJCCC conference mark.  The 6-4 conference mark has them sitting fifth in the eleven-team KJCCC East division.

Coffeyville came out quickly in the match, winning the first set 26-24.  The Ravens dropped the second set 25-19 but came back strong winning the third set (25-16) and finishing off the match with a win in the fourth set (25-21).

Leading the Ravens was freshman outside hitter Bridgette Graham who had 12.5 points on 12 kills.  Sophomore Raina Forstrom was close behind with 12 points on 11 kills.  Defensively, the Ravens had 3 players with double-digit digs, freshman Paola Molina with 21, freshman Jennifer Jensen with 14, and freshman Heather Stiles with 10.  As the setter on the team, Stiles also had 45 assists in the four sets.

Coffeyville will look to extend their winning streak this Saturday, March 13th with a road match to Cowley County Community College.  The first serve is scheduled for noon in Arkansas City Kansas.
