Red Raven Volleyball Defeats Seminole State; Remain #2 in Current NJCAA Poll

The Red Raven Volleyball team won again.  The latest victim was the Seminole State Trojans who came to town this past Monday evening (Sept 23) and received a 3-0 loss (25-20, 19, 16) at the hands of Coffeyville.  The win pushes the Red Ravens to 21-0 on the season.  For the year, the Red Ravens have won a total of 63 sets and lost 2.

Against Seminole, the Red Ravens top performers included sophomore Faith Simpson who had 21 kills and 7 service aces in the match along with sophomore Seliann Concepcion who had 9 kills and 13 digs.  Freshman Chloe Price led Coffeyville in assists with 23.

After being ranked #1 in early NJCAA div II polling action, the Red Ravens have held the #2 spot in the national rankings the last couple of weeks.  The most current national division II volleyball poll can be found by clicking Here.

Coffeyville has a couple of big games coming up with a road game this coming Wednesday (Sept 25) agains the #5 ranked Fort Scott Greyhounds.  A little further into the future on the Red Raven schedule is a date with the #1 ranked Parkland College.  Coffeyville is set to play Parkland at the DMACC (Des Moines Area Community College) tournament on Saturday, October 5th at 8:00 am.
