Henry Kiner Wins TJ National TItle: Men's Team 7th & Women's Team 11th at NJCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships

Pittsburg, Kan - The Coffeyville Community College Red Raven Indoor Track & Field Teams competed this past weekend at the NJCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships hosted at Pittsburg State University.  The Men's team earned seventh place by scoring 34 points in the meet while the women's team placed tied for fourteenth by scoring 11 points.

The top 8 placers in each event earn team points and United States Track & Field Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-American Awards.  All in all the Ravens earned one National Title and 10 All-American Awards.

The top placer for the Raven's was on the men's side as Raven sophomore Henry Kiner won the Triple Jump and earned the National Title.  Kiner jumped 15.54m (50'11.75") to barely edge out second place's Shakwon Coke of Barton who jumped 15.52m.  Kiner earned the victory on his sixth and final jump of the competition.  Kiner also earned All-American honors in the Long Jump by placing seventh with a jump of 7.10m (23' 3.5")

Other men's top 8 finishers include;

Shot Put
Sophomore Dennis Ohene-Adu placed 4th with a put of 16.08m (52' 9").
Freshman Calvin Bostic placed 6th with a put of 15.44m (50' 7.75").

60m Dash
Sophomore Guinove Joanus placed 3rd with a time of 6.75.
Freshman Antoine Evans placed 4th with a time of 6.79

200m Dash
Sophomore Guinove Joanus placed 6th with a time of 21.58

Women's top 8 finishers included;

Weight Throw
Sophomore Maleah DeCuir placed 5th with a toss of 15.62m (51' 3").

Shot Put
Sophomore Maleah DeCuir placed 4th with a put of 12.61m (41'4.5").

400m
Freshman Tatiana Washington placed 7th with a time of 57.27
