Red Raven Indoor T&F Men Place 4th, Women Place 6th at Region VI Indoor Championships

The Coffeyville Community College Men's and Women's Indoor Track teams had a successful weekend at the Region VI/KJCCC Indoor Championships held at Pittsburg State University's Plaster Center. 

The Red Raven men finished the meet 4th in Region VI (out of 14 teams) and 3rd in the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference (KCCC) East division (out of 7 teams).

The Red Raven women finished the meet 6th in Region VI and 4th in the KJCCC East.

Top performers for the Ravens included;

Men
FR Nolton Shelvin WON the Region VI title in the 60m dash in a time of 6.72
SO Guinove Joanus WON the Region VI title in the 200m dash in a time of 21.29
SO Henry Kiner WON the Region VI Long Jump with a jump of 7.27m (23' 10.25")
SO Henry Kiner WON the Region VI Triple Jump with a jump of 15.43m (50' 7.5")
Kiner was also voted the Region VI Male Field Athlete of the meet with the LJ/TJ double-double victory.

Women
FR Victoria Augustin placed 2nd in the Region VI High Jump with a jump of 1.61m (5' 3.5")
FR Jada Meecham placed 3rd in the Region VI Long Jump with a jump of 5.75m (18' 10.5")
SO Maleah DeCuir placed 3rd in the Region VI Weight Throw with a throw of 15.26m (50' 0.75")

Coffeyville returns to action this Saturday, February 27th for a Last Chance meet at Cowley College before they head to the NJCAA Indoor Championships being held March 5th & 6th at Pittsburg State University's Plaster Center.
