#RV Red Ravens Give up Late Goals in 2-1 Loss to Hutchinson

Coffeyville, Kan. - The Coffeyville Community College Red Raven Women's Soccer Team allowed a couple of late goals to Hutchinson in a 2-1 defeat to the Blue Dragons.  With the loss, the Red Ravens' overall record falls to 5-2 including a 4-1 mark in Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference (KJCCC) matchups.

Coffeyville and Hutchinson started the game out evenly matched with neither team able to gain an advantage for most of the first half.  Coffeyville's freshman forward Keysli Elias, with an assist from Alia Jaidi, got the Ravens on the board right before the half (44:24) to give Coffeyville the 1-0 lead going into halftime.

The second half again had both teams struggling for any type of advantage.  The Blue Dragons tied the game up at the 81:15 mark to even the match.  Barely four minutes later, at the 85:19 mark, Hutchinson again found the back of the net to give the Blue Dragons the 2-1 lead with just under five minutes to play.  Coffeyville was not able to find the equalizer and fell 2-1 to Hutchinson.

Coffeyville will return to action this Wednesday, September 22nd with a road game to Butler Community College.  Currently, Coffeyville and Butler are tied atop the KJCCC East standings with 12 points each.  Game time in El Dorado KS is set for 6:00 pm.
