The Coffeyville Community College Red Raven Women's basketball team continued their strong 2020 Kansas Jayhawk Community College (KJCCC) campaign with a home victory over fellow KJCCC East school the Cloud County Thunderbirds, 73-56.  With the win, the Red Raven's overall record moves to an impressive 17-3 and 7-3 in KJCCC matches.  The 7-3 east conference record for the Ravens has them currently second in the east behind the Butler Grizzlies who have a 7-2 KJCCC record.

In this particular game, the third quarter turned out to be the difference.  After holding a 39-31 halftime lead, the Red Ravens came out after halftime and went to work outscoring Cloud 18-6 in the third quarter and extending their lead to 57-37 by the end of the quarter before going on to win the game 73-56.

Top performers for Coffeyville included sophomore Ania Markowska with 11 points and 14 rebounds, sophomores Julia Calafell and McKenzie Murrel-Patton both with 11 points, and sophomore Alana Kramer with 10 points.

Next up for the Red Ravens will be a road game to Iola Kansas to play the Allen County Red Devils.  The game is scheduled for Saturday, January 18th with a 2:00 pm tip-off.
