Red Raven Rodeo Members Hunter Tate and Clint Graves Earn Awards at K-State Rodeo

The Coffeyville Community College Red Raven rodeo team competed this past weekend at the 64th annual Kansas State University Rodeo held in Weber Arena on the Kansas State University campus.

The Red Ravens had two outstanding performers on the weekend.

CCC's Hunter Tate was the Champion Bull Rider, he tied for second in the first round and won the short round.  He totaled 164 points on the two rides for the championship.  The win moves him to fifth place in the Central Plains Region standings.  Below is his winning short ride:

Also competing for CCC was Clint Graves who won third in both rounds of the tie-down roping and finished the Reserve Champion in that event.  With two consecutive top 5 finishes at the college rodeos, Clint has moved up to sixth in the regional standings. 
 
The next rodeo for the Red Raven team will be the Fort Scott Community College Rodeo set for March 13-15 in Fort Scott Kansas.
