Chad Chandler enters his first year as an Assistant Cross Country/Track & Field program here at Coffeyville Community College in 2024.  

Chandler will be responsible for assisting in all aspects of the program including training, recruiting as well as coaching Mid Distance/Distance events.

Chandler comes from Mississippi Valley State.  Chandler served as the Multis/Jumps Coach and helped coach Michaela Brown who won third in the women’s Shot Put at the 2023 SWAC Indoor Championships along with Darrione Joseph who won third place at the 2023 SWAC Outdoor Championships in the 100-meter hurdles.

During his collegiate career at Mississippi Valley State University, under the leadership of Alonzo Banks (three-time All-American and the 1999 SEC 400-meter Champion) Chandler was a three-time National Dean's List Scholar and a part of the 2021-22 SWAC Commissioner's Honor Roll. Although his primary event was the 400m, he also competed in the 800 meters, 4x400 meter relay, 400m hurdles, Distance medley relay, and Cross Country.

A native of Tulsa, Oklahoma., Chandler graduated from Jenks High School in 2018 and earned a bachelor’s degree in Health Physical Education Recreation science from Mississippi Valley State University in 2022, along with a Master of Science degree in Sports Administration in 2023. In addition, he received his USATF Level 1 certification and is a USA Track & Field Certified Official.
