Red Ravens Shine at Region VI/KJCCC Championships, Win 5 Region Titles & 10 KJCCC Titles

Pratt, Kan. - The Coffeyville Community College Red Raven Track & Field Teams competed at the Region VI/KJCCC Outdoor Track and Field Championships this past weekend hosted by Pratt Community College.  The Red Raven Men's team placed 4th overall in the Region with 96 points while the Red Raven Women's team placed 10th overall with 35 points.  In the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference (KJCCC) the Red Raven Men's team earned the Eastern Conference Championship with194 points while Coffeyville's Womens Team place third in the Eastern Conference with 113 points.  Overall, Red Raven athletes earned five Region Titles and ten Conference Titles.

Red Ravens Win Five Region VI Titles

The Red Raven Women's 4x100m Relay team of Jalia Bunn, Linya Gedeon, Royanah Farmer, and Jaiden Leighton won the Region VI Title with a time of 46.70.
Johnathan Crawford won two Region VI Titles winning the Men's 200m (20.30) and the 400m (46.75).
Elijah Rowe won the Region VI Long Jump Title with a jump of 7.46m (24'5.75").
Trevor Gunzell earns the Region VI Shot Put Title with a toss of 17.76m (58'3.25")

and 10 KJCCC East Titles

The above 5 Region VI Winners also won the KJCCC East Titles in those events as well as;
Deyunsha Westbrook ran 1:05.40 to earn the KJCCC East Women's 400m hurdles title.
Ana Maousaridis tossed the women's hammer 45.00m (147'08") to win the KJCCC East Women's Hammer Title.
Reginald Wilson with a toss of 52.85m (173'05") to win the KJCCC East Men's Hammer Throw.
Jaylon Burke hopped 15.02m (49'3.5") to win the KJCCC East Men's Triple Jump.
Trevor Gunzell threw the Discuss 59.91m (196'7") to win the KJCCC East Men's Discus Throw
