Red Raven Track & Field Shines Over Spring Break at Meets in Houston Texas

Houston, Texas - The Coffeyville Community College Red Raven Men's & Women's Track teams had a little road trip over spring break as they traveled to Houston Texas to compete in the Kirk Baptiste Invitational held at the Univ. of Houston on March 14th as well as competing in the 72nd Annual Texas Southern University Relays on March 15-16.

When talking about their results from the two meets, Head Red Raven Coach Robert Wood said "We had a really good few days.  The weather was nice and our athletes performed well."

Top performances for the Red Ravens from the Kirk Baptiste Invitational included freshman La'Darion Dudley shot putting a personal record of 17.55m (57' 7") in winning the event, and sophomore Jonathan Crawford setting meet records while winning the 200m (20.99) and the 400m (47.40)

Red Raven's top performances from Texas Southern Relays included freshman Ana Manousaridis winning the Women's Hammer Throw with a toss of 46.43m (152' 04") and sophomore Jalia Bunn winning the Women's 200m (25.01).  The Men's top performances from the Texas Southern meet included Dudley again winning the Shot Put (16.92m, 55' 6") and Crawford winning the 200m (21.86).
