Red Ravens Defeat KCK 4-1 to Earn KJCCC Victory

Kansas City, Kan. - The Coffeyville Community College Red Raven Men's Soccer Team earned a Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference (KJCCC) victory with a 4-1 road victory over the Blue Devils of Kansas City Kansas Community College.  With the victory, the Red Ravens improved their overall 2023 record to 3-1-2 including a 1-1 record in KJCCC matchups.

In the 4-1 victory, four different players scored for Coffeyville.  Opening the scoring was Red Raven sophomore Michael Nesbitt who netted the unassisted goal at the 22 minute of the first half.  Just five minutes later, sophomore Mario De La Fuente took an assist from sophomore Paulo Diaz and placed the ball in the back of the net to extend the score to 2-0 roughly midway through the first half.  With ten minutes left in the first half, Coffeyville sophomore Khudhur Abdulameer took an assist from sophomore Manuel Nunez and scored the third goal of the game for the Red Ravens who would go into halftime with a 3-0 lead.

Red Raven Paulo Diaz scored the final goal for Coffeyville on a penalty kick in the 79th minute of the second half.  KCK was able to net a goal in the second half, however, Coffeyville ended the match with a 4-1 victory.

Coffeyville will return to action on Saturday, September 9th with a road match to Enid Oklahoma to play the Northern Oklahoma College-Enid Jets.  Kick-off in Enid is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
