#15 Red Ravens and Eastern Oklahoma State Play to a 1-1 Tie

Wilburton, Okla. - The Coffeyville Community College Men's Soccer Team and Eastern Oklahoma State Mountaineers played through two overtimes and finished in a 1-1 tie.  With the tie, the Red Ravens' overall record moves to 9-4-1 including a 5-2 record in Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference matchups.  The 5-2 KJCCC record has the Ravens sitting atop the KJCCC East division.

Coffeyville scored first in the game with a nice redirect off a pass from freshman Tristan Skerritt to sophomore forward Jack Greenwood to net the first goal of the game and put the Ravens up 1-0 with ten minutes left in the first half.  Coffeyville's defense was solid for the rest of the half and the Ravens went into halftime with a 1-0 lead over the Mountaineers.

Nine minutes into the second half, Eastern was able to pull even when a mis-headed ball from Coffeyville rolled into their own goal to tie the match up at 1-1.  Through the remainder of regulation and then through two overtime periods, neither team was able to gather a second goal and the matchup ended in a 1-1 tie.

Coffeyville will return to action on Saturday, Oct 15th with a road match against the Cowley Tigers.  Kick-off in Ark City Kansas is scheduled for 4:00 pm.
