Red Raven Jayven Cofer Scores 24 As Ravens Defeat NW KS Tech 81-66

Goodland, Kan. - Red Raven freshman Jayven Cofer scores a career-best 24 points as the Coffeyville Community College Red Raven Men's Basketball Team defeated the Mavericks of Northwest Kansas Technical College 81-66.  With the victory, the Red Ravens improved their overall record to 5-5 including a 2-3 record in KJCCC matchups.

Coffeyville outscored the Mavericks 42-31 in the first half on their way to the 81-66 victory.  Coffeyville outshot the Mavericks (51% to 30%) as well as outrebounded them (41-35) and scored 31 points off of Northwest Kansas turnovers.

Red Raven freshman guard Jayven Cofer led the Ravens with a career and game-high 24 points.  Freshman Jahni Summers followed with 15 points as well as sophomore Izek Jackson with 14 points and 12 rebounds and sophomore Chris Carroll with 14 points to go along with 9 rebounds.

Coffeyville will return to Nellis Gymnasium on Wednesday, December 6th with a matchup against the Saints of Seward County.  Tip-off is set in Nellis for 7:30 p.m.
