Coffeyville, Kan. - The#11 NJCAA ranked Coffeyville Community College Men's Basketball Team was dominant in a 92-69 victory over their cross-county rivals the Independence Pirates.  With the victory, Coffeyville improves their overall record to 12-2 including a 6-2 record in Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference (KJCCC) matchups.  The 6-2 KJCCC record currently has the Ravens in third place in the 13-team KJCCC Division I Conference.

Coffeyville started out slowly in the game trailing Indy early in the first half.  However, Coffeyville took the lead six minutes into the game and never looked back.  Coffeyville led at halftime 42-29 and pushed out to a 86-49 (37-point lead) with 6:48 left in the game on their way to the 92-69 victory.

Coffeyville shot an overall 48% (32/66) in the game while limiting the Pirates to 40% (22/55).  Over the last six games Coffeyville had been averaging double-digit turnovers per game, however, in this game, the Ravens cleaned that up only having seven turnovers on the afternoon.

Red Raven freshman guard Landon Glasper powered the offense with a game-high 26 points (4/7 3-ptrs).  Sophomore forward Jordan Wildy contributed 16 points and 9 rebounds while freshman guard Amare Haynie had 15 points (4/8 3-ptrs).

Coffeyville will return to action after the holidays with their next game scheduled for Wednesday, January 4th against the Thunderbirds of Cloud County.  Tip-off in Nellis Hall on January 4th is scheduled for 7:30 pm.
